Led by Royal Academy of Dance teacher and ABT certified barre instructor, Jodie Nunn, barre fitness classes aim to empower participants as they strengthen, tone and mobilise in a series of strength training exercises, underpinned by the principles of classical ballet technique. Following the American Barre Technique (ABT) method, barre fitness classes progress from a mobilising and pulse raising warm up, to strengthening the arms, core, glutes, and legs; interspersed with stretches designed to aid mobility and increase flexibility, ABT workouts build and tone lean muscle. If you enjoy barre fitness, why not try beginners ballet!
